Join Michael Taft and The Alembic community for three days of silent, intensive nondual meditation practice.

The retreat will begin with the Thursday night meditation at Alembic (6:30 - 8pm), and we will go into silence on Friday morning. On Friday and Saturday we will meditate from 8am - 9pm. On Sunday we'll meditate from 8am - noon. Attendees with an interview ticket will also have a personal interview with Michael. Most meditation will be silent, but there will also be some live guided practice and teachings with Michael. Space is limited, so please register in advance - there are no drop ins for this retreat.

Practical info:

There are plenty of cushions at Alembic, but no sieza benches so please bring your own if you want to sit on one. You'll be able to leave your things at Alembic for the duration of the retreat.

Please take a covid test on Friday morning and bring it or a picture of it with you. A negative covid test is required to enter the retreat.

Tea, snacks, and a simple lunch will be provided Friday & Saturday - If you register after March 22nd, please bring your own lunch.

Tea & snacks will be provided on Sunday.

We will open the doors at 7:15am each day and the door will be locked at the start of each day, so please arrive on time.

Michael W. Taft is a meditation teacher, author, and podcaster. Michael teaches meditation courses, retreats, and individuals worldwide, and is the author of several books, including the bestselling The Mindful Geek. He is the founder and host of the Deconstructing Yourself podcast.

From Zen temples in Japan to yogi caves in India, Michael has been meditating for over thirty five years and has extensive experience in both Buddhist and Hindu Tantric practice. Michael is the co-founder of the groundbreaking Alembic center in Berkeley. He was previously editor-in-chief of Being Human, and was the long-time editorial director of Sounds True. Michael lives with his family in the Bay Area.
