Is it Hypervigilance or Anticipatory Service

Is it Hypervigilance or Anticipatory Service

with Oak

a live and recorded online class from Wicked Grounds

9/20 2pm Pacific

This interactive discussion looks at the line between anticipatory service and trauma-driven hypervigilance. Have you ever packed for time with your D-type and tried to fit everything and the kitchen sink into one bag “just in case”? We will look at what happens in the body & mind to create feelings where we want to cover every service need scenario that may present itself.

This interactive discussion explores how hypervigilance develops and differs from grounded & intentional service. We’ll talk about motivation, internal cues, and the difference between choice and compulsion. The goal isn’t to stop being attentive. It’s to become present on purpose and rooting service in consent, clarity, and self-trust.
