Bound in Color

This month Amado will be teaching solo! Due to scheduling this class will not be at VoxBody but will be at a close location in Oakland.

We invite you to our exclusive QTBIPOC Rope Drop-in Classes!

This is an educational trauma informed rope space for community who are queer/trans and Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC). We recognize that rope is indigenous to many cultures and people of the global majority have uniquely been impacted by the histories of how rope has been used on our bodies. As such, we request that allies do not attend this event.

This space is for all levels including total beginners! Loaner rope will be available.

Classes are non-sequential so feel free to check one out or all three!

Classes can be done solo or with a partner. Each ticket sold is per person.

Class Topics: First half of class will focus on technical skills and second half of class will be a theory and philosophy discussion

NOVEMBER CLASS TOPIC: EXPLORING COMMON SHAPES IN ROPE

We will cover open and closed shapes in rope as well as how to get in and out of these positions. Beginners welcome. It's useful if you know how to do a single column tie but not necessary.

Covid Precautions and Accessibility:

Masks are encouraged but not required. Wheelchair accessible.
