Beginner: Chapter 2: Cuffs and Connection: an Intro to Single Columns

Single column cuffs are probably the most famous foundational tie in Shibari, and an essential tie in any rigger’s toolkit.

The second class in our beginner series will break down all the steps in tying this cuff, and how you can use it to anchor additional rope, explore ideas for play and connect with your tying partner… or tying yourself!

Pre-requisites: suitable for beginners. To make the most of this class, we recommend previous knowledge of handling rope, lark’s head and wrapping rope.

What to bring/wear: 1 hank of rope for people tying - we will have rope for borrowing or for sale at the studio!

Do I need a partner for this class? All of the exercises in this class can be done either on a partner or self-tied.

Please arrive on time, as late entry may not be permitted due to the structured nature of the material.
