Halloween always ends way too fast. That's not fair. So we're giving you one more day of Halloween fun! Presented by AfterDark and BunnyJoe & BariBoi!

Little Monsters is a cozy, chill, BONUS HALLOWEEN afternoon party for littles, middles, bigs, caregivers, pups, and every other critter who isn't ready to put the costume away yet. Roll out of bed, throw on your jammies, your onesie, or last night's costume one more time, and come hang out with us. Clocks fall back that morning, so you even get an extra hour of sleep first.

No pressure, no performing, no big-night-out energy. Just a sweet, silly, low-key afternoon to get out of your head, let the stress melt off, and drag the spooky season out for one more day. Come enjoy costumes, cartoons, candy, coloring, toys, and zero grown-up responsibilities.

You do not have to be an age-player or pet-player to attend this event; maybe you just really enjoy Halloween and day parties!

What's Happening

• Cereal buffet and littles-friendly snacks…if we sell enough tickets, we might even break out the cotton candy machine ;)
• Candy. So much candy–including a “guess how many candies in the jar” contest!
• Halloween movies and cartoons on the big screen all afternoon.
• Coloring stations, toys, and games; feel free to bring your own special toys to share!
• Pup and pet play area: a dedicated space for pups, kitties, and all other critters to romp, wrestle, and get the zoomies out.
• Stretchy spandex sensory swing set up on the aerial rig!
• Snuggles, giggles, and couch time. Curl up with a blanket and your favorite people; or to curl up in the corner with your stuffie!

Choose Your Own Adventure!

Age-players and pet-players come in all shapes and sizes, and engage in all different kinds of play. Different flavors of age play are equally valued and welcome at this event. Any type of kink-shaming (including uninvited comments or questions about someone else's play); is strictly prohibited and will result in you being asked to leave the premises, with no refunds given.

• The Main Floor is for snuggling, cuddling, and gentle caretaking. Sexual play is strictly prohibited on the main floor; kinky play should be kept very lighthearted and low-intensity (staff and hosts may interrupt and ask you to go upstairs if things progress beyond this threshold). The main floor will be the location of the cereal buffet, snacks, movies, coloring and toys, the pet play area, and plenty of couches and beds for non-sexual cuddling.
• Littles without “bigs” are welcome. However, all littles, including unsupervised littles, are fully responsible for ensuring that their behavior–regardless of headspace–is appropriate, consensual, and complies with the rules of the event.
• Diaper play is welcome. However, all players must consent to limiting their play to “wet-only” (pee); no messy play (scat) permitted. Diaper changing is only permitted ONLY in the dedicated, private changing room that is away from the main space.
• There will be a dedicated area for pet play (“mosh”) and pups and other critters are welcome to enjoy all areas of the party. However, when in that headspace, please ONLY engage with other attendees upon specific, verbal invitation or as otherwise pre-negotiated.
• The Second Floor is exclusively for “dark age play,” including sexual activity, high-intensity impact play, punishments, and play that may include elements of consensual-nonconsent. There will be a Playspace Monitor upstairs throughout the event. Anyone who chooses to go upstairs is consenting to an adult, sexualized “dark” age-play space. This includes the possibility of overhearing and witnessing scenes that may be intense or triggering. By walking up the stairs to the second floor, you are voluntarily opting in to being around that energy and understanding that you may see and overhear things that could make you uncomfortable.

The Venue

Paradox, 1310 Mission Street, San Francisco. In SoMa, about a 10 minute walk from the Civic Center/UN Plaza BART station.

Accessibility

The entrance to the space is on the ground floor and is wheelchair-accessible, including the social area, the main floor where all the afternoon activities happen, and two accessible all-gender bathrooms. The upstairs areas can only be reached via stairs, with railings on both sides. There will be music and movies playing throughout the afternoon, and ear plugs are available for free at the front desk. There are colored lights in use throughout the venue.

The Second Floor is only accessible via a single flight of stairs.

Dress Code

Comfy is the dress code. Jammies, onesies, footie pajamas, ears and tails, your favorite hoodie, or last night's costume for one more spin. Wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and the most you.

You're welcome to arrive in regular clothes and change once you're inside. Bring your stuffie, your blankie, and your pup gear if you've got it.

Connect

As with all AfterDark events, we'll have role stickers at the party to help identify and spark connections. We'll also be using our wristband system to make it easier for people to appropriately initiate social interactions.

Yellow wristband: You're comfortable being respectfully approached about the possibility of play.

Red wristband: You prefer not to be approached about play, although you may be open to conversations about other things. Let someone wearing red bring up play. Don't bring it up to them.

Consent is Paramount

Part of our responsibility in fostering a consent culture is providing clear guidance that helps prevent consent incidents before they happen.

Ask first. That goes for hugging someone, petting someone's pup, joining someone's game, or picking up someone's toys or stuffie.
