Queer Rope Social Brooklyn

Queer Rope Social Brooklyn is a monthly social gathering for self-identified queer folks interested in rope bondage/shibari. We prioritize consent and creating a low-key, welcoming environment that centers queer, trans, and non-binary people.

This is a space to practice and play with rope bondage/shibari, get inspired by diverse rope styles and approaches, meet other rope enthusiasts, tie and/or be tied!

All levels of rope experience, including absolute beginners, are warmly welcome! For absolute beginners, we offer a quick rope basics intro as part of the event.

Coil & Cord Studio has numerous hard points (including bamboo, single points, & vertical posts) available for suspension, plus plenty of cozy mats for floor tying.

No tying partner required or expected: Attend the jam solo or with a tying partner or several. We welcome solo attendees and encourage making connections at the event.

What to Bring: Please bring rope & a cutting tool if you have them, and any suspension gear if you plan to suspend. Or just bring yourself! Rope is also available to borrow & to purchase at the event.
