Power Play Dynamics Temple Party

An Embodied Exploration of Choice, Surrender & Free Play

Choose Your Own Adventure

Led by Aviva, Monique Darling, and Peter Petersen

What happens inside your body when you are invited to take control?

What happens when you are given permission to let go?

Power Play Dynamics Temple Party is an evening of education, embodied exploration, sensual connection, and playful discovery.

We will begin with a welcoming workshop exploring how power moves between people. Together, we will play with directing and receiving, control and surrender, softness and intensity, power over, power under, power with, and power within.

Then the Temple opens for free play, where you get to choose your own adventure.

What Is Power Exchange?

Power exchange is the conscious choice to give, receive, share, or play with authority.

It can be tender or fierce. It can sound like a whisper, a request, a growl, or a clear command. It may include softness, service, restraint, pressure, hair pulling, flogging, nurturing, adoration, or simply allowing someone else to choose what happens next.

Power exchange does not have to mean BDSM. You do not need special clothes, expensive toys, or years of experience.

You only need curiosity, communication, and a willingness to listen to your body.

Top, Bottom, Dom, Sub, or Switch

A top usually directs an action, while a bottom receives or responds. A Dom is given negotiated authority, while a sub chooses to surrender some authority. These roles are not always the same.

A switch enjoys exploring more than one role.

There is no correct identity waiting for you to find it. There are simply more choices available.

Topping can awaken confidence, fantasy, intensity, and the delicious thrill of taking control. Bottoming can quiet the mind, deepen sensation, and offer the freedom of chosen surrender. Switching gives more of you room to play.

What We Will Explore

Through conversation and embodied practice, we will explore topping, bottoming, switching, and witnessing; Yin power through softness and nurturing; Yang power through direction and intensity; negotiating desires and boundaries; clear ways to pause or stop; and aftercare for everyone involved.

Every practice is an invitation. Participate, adapt, watch, or choose not to engage.

Fantasy is not consent. Surrender does not erase choice. Consent can change at any moment.

What Is a Temple Party?

A Temple Party is an invitation to slow down and deepen your experience of being alive.

Our sensuality and sxxuality are expressions of our vital life force and creative energy. That energy can move, play, connect, and be enjoyed in many ways.

During free play, you might connect with another person, cuddle, flirt, negotiate a scene, receive affection, explore power, watch, or simply enjoy being in the room.

Participation with a capital P can mean many things.

Voyeurs and witnesses are welcomed as warmly as those who want to be actively engaged. There is no pressure to participate in any activity.

Come relax.

Come smooch.

Come play.

Come watch.

Come discover how power wants to move through you.

Who Should Attend?

This experience is for people who are willing to communicate, respect boundaries, use their words, and treat themselves and others with care.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you want.

Watching is participating. Resting is participating. Changing your mind is participating. Choosing nothing is still a choice.

All genders, bodies, orientations, relationship styles, and experience levels are welcome.

We warmly welcome trans, intersex, queer, nonbinary, kinky, curious, and questioning people.

What To Bring

Bring clothing that helps you feel comfortable, powerful, sensual, playful, or beautifully ordinary.

You may also bring toys or accessories you want to use with consenting people, along with any barriers or protection you need to care for your body.

Most importantly, bring your curiosity, boundaries, playful spirit, and open heart.

This is a sober event. Please do not use alcohol or recreational drugs before or during the experience.

The opening circle is required. It allows us to meet, establish agreements, share boundaries, and create the foundation for the evening. Doors will close when the opening circle begins.

Power is already moving through every relationship in your life.

Come make it visible.

Come make it conscious.

Come make it chosen.
