Hypnosis Fundamentals is a fun workshop designed to give beginners a running start into erotic hypnosis.

In this day-long intensive we will guide you through the basics of hypnotic theory, consent & negotiation in hypnokink, how to craft a scene, how to hypnotize a partner, and how to go into hypnosis. The workshop contains several opportunities to practice trancing with and without suggestions so that you'll go home confident to play on your own.

No need to bring your own partner, but great if you do! Practice will happen in groups of three: everyone will be hypnotist, subject, and observer for each activity. The instructors will be circulating and available to help.

While our focus is on welcoming and launching beginners, intermediates might enjoy a refresher or new perspective on the basics, and all the practice time! All levels are welcome.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees.

About Us:

Resonate and MindTop founded Hypnokink Bay Area in 2023 with a simple mission: to produce educational and social events where kinksters can practice hypnosis in a low-stakes, fun setting. Learn more about HKBA at our website, www.HypnokinkBayArea.com.

MindTop (aka Cabel, he/him) has been part of the hypnokink community for 15+ years. His teaching experience includes co-running the Erotic Hypnosis Peershare (SF,) teaching hypnokink & brainwashing classes in Albuquerque both privately and at the New Mexico Leather League conference, and running hypnosis events at the Folsom Street Fair and Dark Odyssey. In his personal life he tends toward the darker side of hypnokink: con-noncon, brainwashing, and long-term transformation. Because of this he has become really nerdy about the nuances of consent in hypnotic relationships.

Resonate (she/her) was introduced to hypnokink in 2017 and immediately realized she’d been doing it her whole life. She is a Wiseguy-certified hypnotist who has taught at Charmed! and the SF Well-Being Fair. She is a hypno-switch who is especially interested in experimentation & playfulness, power exchange/control between partners of equal status, and the intersection of hypnosis and artistic expression. Her perspective as a performing artist greatly informs her approach to teaching hypnokink.

Cost:

Sliding scale $225-$165, with regular price at $195. If the expectation that you buy a ticket in this range would prohibit you from attending, please contact us; financial aid is available. Lunch is provided as part of your ticket.
