Erotic Seasons Book Launch: Read It, Talk About It, Act It Out (ish!😋)

Kimberly Ann Johnson’s epic new creation Erotic Seasons comes out November 17th, and we’re celebrating by gathering together in a cozy kava bar and READING together!

How the evening works

6:00-7:30 pm: The Sit-and-Read. Arrive any time between 6pm and 7:30pm, grab your book (included in your ticket), order a drink, and find a cozy spot. 🛋️ Then ninety minutes with your book and your own thoughts, in a room full of women doing the same. No small talk required. 📖

7:30-9:00 pm: Gather and Discuss. We come together to talk about what we just read and what it stirred up, and we’ll try a few exercises from the book. Participation is always optional!

Why come

• You get the actual book on release day
• You'll sit and read quietly with other people doing the same. When's the last time you did that?
• Women of ALL AGES will share a room. Every season has something to offer the others, and nobody is here to compare or compete.
• Your host (me, Eleanor) has spent 20 years making theater about sex, shame, and pleasure. There is nothing I love more than the opportunity to share stories about sexuality with other women (and I am well versed in holding safer spaces for consent. There is never an obligation to share anything EVER).

Kimberly's book follows our sexuality through the seasons of a life: maiden, mother, queen (or what KAJ now calls VIRGIN - as in, a virgin forest), and crone. What we desire, what we need, how it changes throughout our lifetime. The book encourages us to get curious and explore these transistions - and provides many, many exercises to help us discover. I wanna talk about it! With you!

Who it’s for

Women (self-identified) of all ages and stages who are curious about how sexuality changes over a lifetime and wanna talk bout it (or just listen!)

Eleanor O’Brien, artistic director of Dance Naked Creative, has been illuminating human sexuality through humor and storytelling for 20 years.
