🧵 Fiber Arts Hangout

Bring a fiber arts project and enjoy a cozy afternoon crafting together.

Projects might include:

• Knitting
• Crochet
• Sewing (hand or machine, if you bring the machine)
• Embroidery
• Mending or darning
• Cross stitch
• Quilting or patchwork
• Sashiko
• Garment making, alterations, or repairs
• Finishing works-in-progress (weaving in ends, blocking, sewing on buttons, etc.)

There will be embroidery floss in a variety of colors available for mending and lots of buttons if you'd like to replace missing buttons or repair clothing.

🕛 Arrival Time

Please mention in the chat when you expect to arrive. If you can arrive at noon that would be lovely and appreciated by the host.

☕ Food & Drinks

Please bring your own lunch or snacks, or come already fed. Bringing something to share is completely optional.

Tea, coffee, and water will be available.

🧶 What to Expect

This is a relaxed, cozy fiber arts gathering where we craft, chat, share ideas, troubleshoot projects, and enjoy making things together. Whether you're an experienced maker or just getting started, you're welcome here. Feel free to ask questions, learn from others, or bring a simple mending project if you're new.

You can work inside or out in the garden, whichever feels most comfortable.

💛 Participation

To help keep the event focused, everyone attending should expect to be participating in a fiber arts activity of some kind. If you don't have an active project, you're welcome to come to learn, brainstorm, mend clothing, or work on something simple. if you aren't planning to participate in a fiber arts-l related activity, please skip this event and join us for different gatherings instead.

Community / Vibe Note

This is a friendly, non-sexual event. You may see light PDA, such as hugs or brief kisses between people who already know each other, but it isn't the focus. Please help keep the atmosphere intentionally platonic so everyone can feel comfortable and included.
