Freakquency: All Black Halloween Play Party

On Saturday, November 7, join us for Freakquency: Halloween After Dark. Yes, we know Halloween was technically last week. But since when have we let the calendar tell us when to be freaky?

Come through for a night of dark vibes, Black joy, freaky community, kinky games, sensual pleasure, dancing, and sexual play. Halloween may be over, but we're keeping the lights low and the costumes on.

This is your chance to step fully into your alter ego. Come as your favorite villain, your darkest fantasy, a creature of the night, or simply the hottest version of yourself. Whether you're mysterious, mischievous, spooky, sexy, or somewhere in between, we want to see what comes out after dark.

For us, Halloween is an invitation to play with identity, fantasy, transformation, and desire. It's a chance to leave the everyday version of yourself at the door and explore what happens when you give yourself permission to be a little stranger, a little bolder, and a lot more free. Halloween might be over. We're not.

Vetting & Orientation

Our goal is to create a space that prioritizes Black culture, Black comfort, and Black sensual liberation. The vetting process is one way that we intentionally bring people into our community who share our goals around creating a sex-positive, pro-Black space. To purchase a ticket:

Step 1: Start by completing the interest form here.

Step 2: You’ll be invited to complete Zoom orientation.

Step 3: After orientation, you’ll receive a unique ticket link that you can use to purchase a ticket.

Freakquency is a judgment-free, consent-first event centering the sex-positive Black community. To attend, you must have at least one birth parent who is Black* and was perceived and treated as a Black person in the US or other similar country context.

*We define Black folks as people of African descent living across the diaspora who have lived experiences as a racial minority in the United States.

We welcome people representing every sexual orientation, gender expression, and body type, and with all levels of experience—from totally new and curious to seasoned players. Freakquency is your space to explore, engage, and exhale.

Please note this event is for folks aged 25 and up.

Dress Code:

Halloween after dark. Sexy. Liberated. Black. Queer. Kinky. Spooky. Whatever makes you feel fine AF. Costumes are highly encouraged, but there are no rules about what kind of creature you become.

Timeline:

8:00 pm — Kinky games, vibes, dancing, food

9:00 pm — Doors close, opening circle, party time

2:00 am — Closing circle and strike

$30 — Pre-Party Setup: Saturday 7pm–8pm

$25 — Greeter: Saturday 8pm–9:15pm

$20 — Post-Party Cleanup: Sunday 2am–3am

Health & Safety

We are committed to creating a safe environment for all partygoers. A few ways that we work toward this:

1. We ask that you administer a COVID rapid antigen test on the day of the party. You can present a time-stamped photo of the test you took at home, bring your own COVID test to take on site, or buy a COVID test at the door. If you will be taking a test on site, please wear a mask when you arrive.
2. If your play will involve fluid exchange, we ask that you get comprehensive STI testing far enough in advance that you have your results in time for the party. For free testing locations, visit freehivtest.net.

Freakquency is an all-Black group of sex-positive folks that got together to create this event because we were tired of the lack of all-Black spaces in the Bay Area play community. We all volunteer our time to put this together for the love of community, so please be patient with our response time.
