Free Your Voice and Body Stories Training with Phoenix Song Sept 27, 2026 - May 23, 2027:

9-month transformational training program: What do you want to birth?

Do you want deeper embodiment, a community of belonging and love, vocal confidence; more joy and play; creativity, empowerment, and a rewriting of your life narratives? This program centers QTBIPOC, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA folks and consists of vocal practices to help you sing, sound & speak your truth and somatic expressive arts practices to help you release and rewrite your body's stories.

We will start from the root (feet, legs, and base of the spine) and go up the body and energy centers to arrive at the crown/top of the head. Each month we will focus on a different body part/chakra and express its stories through movement, drawing, writing, theater, and sound and give voice to its songs.

Classes will be held in my home studio in the Richmond Hills two Sunday eves/month from 530-830pm and one Sunday day/month from 10am to 430pm with time in nature.

  • Getting to participate in Phoenix’s 9-month Free Your Voice and Body Stories cohort changed the trajectory of my life. I went from feeling shy about singing and uncomfortable with my post-transition range, to writing original songs and sharing them at a house concert, and now moving towards recording my first album. Everyone has a different journey in the program, but for me it brought me back to my love of music, helped me discover my creative capacity, and introduced me to a power in my voice I’d never known was there. It was so beautiful to do all of that in a group of courageous and vulnerable queer, trans, and bipoc folks who continue to support each other in our creative pursuits, even over a year later. I couldn’t recommend it enough! --Ryn B, therapist
  • Phoenix Song’s Free Your Voice nine-month program was a truly unique and life-changing experience for me. It’s difficult to capture just how much happened over those nine months. Through a journey into the chakras and the body—using art, interpersonal work, singing, movement, and presence—I discovered and reclaimed parts of myself I hadn’t known how to reach before. This work was deeply healing, but it was also transformative in a very tangible way: it helped me find my voice and gave me the courage to use it. I came away with a deeper connection to myself, greater freedom in my creative expression, and more willingness to let myself be seen and heard. Phoenix is an extraordinarily gifted teacher and facilitator. They bring an incredible depth and breadth of training to this work, along with the wisdom of their own lived experience. They created a space where I felt supported and challenged, where vulnerability and creativity could coexist, and where real change became possible. Free Your Voice is so much more than a singing course. It is an invitation to inhabit your body, your creativity, and your voice more fully. I am profoundly grateful that I said yes to it, and I recommend Phoenix and this program wholeheartedly. --Devin, retired air traffic controller
