Glow ~ Slow, Sensual, Small

Somewhere between Cuddle Parties & orgies, there's a place that feels both innocent and full of possibility.

That is Glow: Slow. Small. Sensual.

password: rebellover

Glow is the space I wanted and couldn't find. So I made it.

  • Are sex parties too intense but cuddle parties too restrictive?
  • Does your nervous system relax when you hear you can fool around but not have sex?
  • Do you want a space where everyone gets to experiment, ask for what they want, and push an edge without getting blown out?

Hi, this is Misha Bonaventura, I've been leading, creating events, and coaching in the sex positive community for 20 years. For a decade I hosted 200-person orgies through Bonobo Network. After awhile there was something yearning in me for a space in-between — a space slow enough to actually listen, to talk, to practice sex positive values with like minded people, and even find someone to date and go deeper. To meet lovers that could grow into partners. Where you can ask for an innocent thing you want and quite possibly get it. Where you won't go too far past a boundary accidentally after being swept away by the energy of the party because the space itself holds you.

That's Glow. 30 people. In my home. A powerful opening circle that sets the tone for everything that follows, dinner served, and a second led exercise involving the exact kind of touch you desire. What's possible? Making out. Slow touch. Breathing together. Feeling actually met without the pressure, the noise, the overstimulation of a big ol' party.

Glow is for:

  • The slow and deep ones who want connection before intimate contact.
  • Newbies dipping a toe before jumping into a full sex party.
  • Those who have been to plenty of sex parties but they are overstimulating and too intense.
  • Anyone building confidence in knowing their desires, finding their yes and no, asking out loud.
  • Introverts, shy humans, highly sensitive people, neurodivergent folks who need the volume turned down to actually show up.
  • Romantics who know their heart needs to be met before their hormones get too carried away.

Testimonials

"Thank you so much for creating such a safe, amazing container for Glow. I'm still feeling a wonderful, warm buzz from last night. Your presence and the two facilitated activities truly made space for meaningful connection and thoughtful touch. My partner and I connected with someone special, and I don't think it would have happened without the space you created."
"Thank you for a great event. I had an amazing time. I loved the exercise to reach out a hand and find an open hand. That was a lovely way to start a small, low stakes touch interaction with another person. I enjoyed the exercise to crawl around like cats, yet it seemed like several people didn't join in. I liked the way it required that we move to different places in the room and therefore connect with new people than those we were already sitting with.Starting with count off and breakout rooms was a great and low stakes way to start some connection with random people, not the ones we might have been already sitting with. I loved the flexibility you gave us to participate in any of the exercises or not. How cool!"

No one turned away for lack of funds.

If cost is the only thing standing between you and this event, reach out — we'll work something out together.

This support often goes to single parents, folks living on less than $75K/year, neurodivergent folks, immigrants, trans and other marginalized community members — and anyone else for whom the ticket price is a real barrier, not a preference.

To be honest with you: this fund exists for people who structurally can't afford it, not for a temporary dip in income (like a recent layoff from a high-earning role). We trust you to know the difference — just reach out at [contact] and we'll figure it out.

FAQs

What does small mean?

The event is capped at 30 people.

Who is invited?

This event has traditionally been a Bonobo membership required event. I am now opening up Glow to Bonobo and SoulPlay attendees and anyone who is personally invited by you that you trust to be awesome participants.

Sexual Boundaries of Glow ~ ***thank you to The Sauce Santa Cruz for these << highly recommend!

  • Glow is a PG-13 event that encourages flirting, sensual connection, and consensual edge-pushing. While some folks go deep with one person, it’s more commonly a butterfly-style event where people enjoy exchanges with multiple groups and partners throughout the night.
  • No intoxication—this is a sober event
  • No exposed genitals—bottoms of some kind must stay on at all times.
  • No touching genitals with hands, faces, or mouths, even through clothing—consensual bumping and grinding is fine
  • No approaching someone and touching them from behind without pre-consent—meaning a pre-existing intimate relationship that ensures this person will be delighted at being surprised by you

Do I need to come with a partner?

Glow is a space for people of all relationship configurations. You can come alone, with a partner, or with friends.

What is the layout of the party?

This event is held in a home in Pt Richmond, CA set overlooking the SF Bay. There is plenty of parking around the open space across from the house. The House does have a cat, please be prepared to take allergy medication if you have cat allergies. There are two levels to the house: The upper level is the main space, the main bedroom is available for plan along with then den downstairs. There are also 2 balconies to get away from the action and witness the beauty of our area.

What are the typical demographics?

Glow has grown from Bonobo and moved to a SoulPlay centered event and people come from the South Bay, East Bay and North Bay to attend. There are Bonobos, SoulPlay attendees, dancers, kinksters, Tantra folks, and people newer to erotic exploration. We also attract neurodivergent humans, introverts, and gender expansive creatures.

The party is very even when it comes to masculine and feminine energies. While it’s not a queer-centric event, there is usually a strong queer contingent including non-binary and trans folks. Being an event that has grown from the poly Bay Area community, the space is mostly white though as the word gets out this is thankfully changing.

While 30-somethings and folks over 55 come to the event, the bulk of attendees are in their late 30s to 50s.

What safety structures do you have in place?

Glow aims to provide a spectrum of options for attendees, from casual to deeper levels of engagement and risk-taking. It is a safer space – but no large party that openly explores erotic energy can be truly safe. Instead, as a community, we aim to take measured risks, reduce harm, and provide repair and accountability when harm occurs.

CONSENT CONTAINER

Glow offers a party experience that is more conscious than the bar scene but also riskier than your typical ecstatic dance or small workshop. We come together to explore erotic energy and push edges in the community.

You can view our evolving consent policy here and check out fill out our incident form here: SoulPlay Incident Reporting Form if you feel your consent was violated at an event or beyond.

WAYS TO OPT-IN AND OUT

I am committed to offering as many ways as I can to opt in and out of activities allowing you to customize your unique experience at each event.

The main livingroom and downstairs den are mainly cuddle and group touch spaces. The main bedroom is reserved for spicier activity. You can always go outside on the decks to get away from the party and relax in the open air. There is no nudity or sexual activity outside as the neighbors are nearby.

SUPPORT

Misha serves as your main support during the event. You can ask her for help at any time.

Will there be food?

Glow offers a snack table and soup dinner around 7pm.

Can I come late?

Glow is a closed container based on our values of group cohesion, ongoing erotic education, and safer spaces. For these reasons, the event always starts with an opening circle followed by open time. The opening circles are vital to cultivating a community with more skill and care – and this is what allows us to go deeper.

For these reasons, you can not come after the doors close. Please make sure you give yourself enough time to arrive.

Do you require Covid testing?

We no longer require covid testing. If you feel under the weather we kindly ask you to stay home to support the group to stay well.
