HMU Academy: Floggers & Florentine

About this event

Flogging isn’t just for sailors in the 19th century British Navy, anymore! Join Hawthorne for an introduction to the fine art of flogging. We will start with the basics and safety tips, learn how to do the spinning “Florentine flogging” style, and have a brief time for open play and demonstrations.

Floggers and a partner are not required, but feel free to bring them. This class is appropriate for beginner to intermediate impact players. Add a new set of skills to your arsenal, or review and improve your existing abilities.

This event is open to the public, 18+.

✨Dress code: Comfortable, no nudity allowed. If you'd like to be flogged, wear either underwear you don't mind showing off or close-fitting clothes like yoga pants for full coverage. Flogging someone in jeans is just . . . sad.

✨Volunteers: Limited volunteer spots available. Please email admin@hitmeupnyc.com to express interest.

✨Location: Lower Manhattan. The space has an elevator. Please email hello@hitmeupnyc.com if you need any accessibility accommodations.

✨Full vaccination is required. While we recommend getting the booster shots, we are not verifying them at this time.

If they wait until a few days before the event we cannot guarantee they will be able to be approved in time.
