HMU Academy: Kink and BDSM 101 - A Hands On Sampler

About this event

Join certified sex educator Jamie Joy for an interactive class on kink and BDSM for the brave and bold! Whether you are just beginning to dabble or ready to live the lifestyle, this space is for you. Topics will include: vocabulary, finding your kinky persona, consent & negotiation, impact play, bondage & restraint, sensation play, and more!

**This workshop will emphasize safety, techniques, and how to establish clear communication through live demonstration**

There will be opportunities for HANDS-ON practice so get ready to learn through experience!

We will cover everything you need to know:

IMPACT - Spanking, Floggers, Paddles, Canes, etc

BONDAGE - Rope, Gags, Cuffs, Blindfolds, etc

SENSATION - Feathers, Pinwheels, Wax, etc

This class is open to all genders, sexualities, and experience levels. Come and play!

What should I bring?

You are welcome to bring your own toys for practice and supplies to take notes.

What should I wear?

Whatever you want!

Any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?)

This class is for everyone. Even if you're well versed in some aspects of kinky play, you'll likely learn something new.

Can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner?

Solo, partnered, polycules and more are welcome to attend. You do not need to come with a partner.

Jamie Joy (they/them) is a queer trans Jewish sex educator and hungry slut for freaky fantasies and kinky perversions. Their life and work is committed to spreading joy, pleasure, and consent through community organizing. Jamie Joy is passionate about dancing while eating, playing sadistically with fire floggers, and teaching people about the wonders of anal fisting.
