Intermediate: Chapter 8: Elevated Scene Building

It’s time to take everything we have practiced in this Intermediate series and put it to play! In this class, we'll teach ties that combine restraint, balance, and movement to create a dynamic and engaging rope experience. We will focus on a thoughtfully designed tie and explore the many ways it can be adjusted, modified, and played with.

Pre-requisites: all participants must have completed our beginner series and previous intermediate classes 1 thru 7 or have equivalent tying experience; please check our Beginner and Intermediate curriculum page for more information.

What to bring/wear: 2-3 hanks of rope, either 8m or 10m based on tying pair’s preference

Do I need a partner for this class? Partners are strongly recommended. Since we are focusing on the communication and connection side of rope, you’ll get the most out of class with a partner. If you come solo, you are welcome to observe or self-tie. This class includes demonstration, guided practice, and discussion.

Please arrive on time, as late entry may not be permitted due to the structured nature of the material.
