A beginner-friendly introduction to BDSM, kink, consent, power dynamics, negotiation, scenes, safe words, pleasure, and aftercare.
Kink 101 is an educational beginner-friendly class designed for the curious, the cautious, and anyone interested in exploring the foundations of BDSM and kink in a safe, consensual, and empowering way. In this workshop, we’ll break down the fundamentals of a kink lifestyle, including what BDSM actually means, how power dynamics work, and why consent and negotiation are the foundation of all healthy kink play. We’ll explore the differences between dominance and submission, discuss how submissives often hold more power than people realize, and explain key concepts such as scenes, safe words, boundaries, enthusiastic consent, and aftercare. This class also highlights that kink is not solely about pain — it can be rooted in pleasure, intimacy, trust, sensation, exploration, and personal expression. Participants will gain a broader understanding of different types of kinks while learning how to safely communicate desires, establish boundaries, and create experiences that feel authentic, exciting, and aligned with their own interests and comfort levels.
