Learning Lab

Learning Lab

Learning Lab is a discounted community class led by instructors and TAs in training as they develop their teaching skills, build confidence, and gain hands-on classroom experience.

These classes are designed to be collaborative, approachable, and community-centered learning spaces where feedback is welcomed and growth is part of the process. While instructors may be newer to teaching, all classes are supported by our Education Team to help ensure a structured, and supportive experience for everyone involved.

Learning Lab is a great opportunity to:

• Take affordable classes

• Practice and revisit fundamentals

• Support developing educators in our community

• Experience new lesson plans and teaching styles

• Help shape future classes through constructive feedback

This is not “unfinished” or unsafe instruction — all Learning Lab classes are reviewed and supported to ensure material remains appropriate, consent-centered, and community-minded. Instead, these classes are intentionally designed as spaces for growth, experimentation, and collaborative learning for everyone involved.

This month’s focus will be the beginner chapters

Learning Lab may include:

• Beginner rope instruction

• Technique practice and refinement

• TA-led demonstrations

• Communication and consent exercises

• Specialty topic practice classes

• New lesson plan testing and curriculum development

Whether you’re brand new to rope or simply looking for more practice and repetition, Learning Lab offers a relaxed environment focused on learning together.

Consent, communication, patience, and respect are expected at all times. Come learn with us, grow with us, and help us build stronger community education together.

Feedback is always welcome and appreciated.
