Energy in Rope: Setting Your Intentions

Class Description:

Tying can often be a very intimate thing and an overall sensory experience. In tying yourself or with a partner, your relationship with how your rope feels in your hands and the energy you exchange while tying can be very powerful. Our focuses in this class will be on exploring our connection to rope as well as with the people we tie and allowing your intentions to be exchanged during your scene.

Whether as a top or a bottom, I ask myself the same when preparing to self tie or begin a scene with a partner...

• Why do you tie?
• What are you looking to accomplish?
• What is your intention for this scene?
• By working through these thoughts, we help to set our intention and leave a scene with a better sense of fulfillment for not only ourselves but also our scene partner.

For this event we will be in a darker lit setting to be able to better focus away from the bright lights and distractions. There will also be an opportunity to utilize blindfolds (provided for you) to better help you connect with your rope and how it behaves in your hands.

If you have mats to sit on the floor, please feel free to bring them (a limited amount will be provided). Futons and chairs will also be provided for those who don't prefer to use mats.

Dress comfortable and ready to tie.

Examples are:

• Leggings or shorts
• Wireless bras
• Lingerie
• Clothing that allows for movement

It is recommended that you bring:

• Your rope of choice (Minimum of 2x30' & 2x15')
• Blanket or mat

We have rope available to borrow or for purchase.

Recommendations for your rope bag include:

• Emergency/safety scissors
• First aid kit
• Hair ties
• Bendy straws - to make drinking easier for your partner if they are bound or suspended
• Personal comfort items for you and your bottom. (Chocolate, teddy bear, fuzzy socks... whatever)

Doors open at 7:00 pm and class starts at 7:30 pm.

LILNR Membership

Membership in LILNR is open to anyone 19 years old or older regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation/identity, or creed with a genuine interest in BDSM or alternative lifestyles who agrees to abide by the rules and procedures of LILNR.
