Before Maomao‘s performance, our hosts and local artists JuteJitsu & Glory will be opening the evening with a Kinbaku performance of their own to set the mood.

~~~ ABOUT THE PERFORMERS ~~~

MAOMAO

Mosaic Cat (Maomao) began her Shibari journey in Taiwan in 2017. She immerses herself in both classical Japanese traditions and contemporary European techniques under Maya, Soa, and Nawagiri Shin. Her practice combines classical Japanese-inspired kinbaku with contemporary European rope methods. She has taught over 500 students and performed in more than 100 Shibari shows, including German rope education organization Karada House.

JUTEJITSU

Fritz (JuteJitsu) is a Bay Area born and raised rope artist, and a Kinoko certified Ichinawa-kai instructor. He’s been tying in SF for over a decade and offers sessions and lessons at SFShibari Studio in the Mission. He’s performed and taught Kinbaku in SF, LA, Miami, and Tokyo.
