Men's Body Temple: Touch & Presence

This is a night to give and receive love between men with a quality you may not have known was possible. For building a Men's Culture where we have comfort with our bodies, and where we can exchange presence, intimacy, and platonic touch — from men and for men.

We'll create ritual space together for practicing this culture. After building trust and safety with one another, we’ll enter specific exercises and rituals designed for us to drop our stories of unworthiness, inferiority, or separation. We’ll honor our bodies and the bodies of other men with vulnerable presence and non-sexual touch.

This is for you if you want:

  • To explore comfort, freedom, and delight in your body
  • To work through shame, self-judgement, or places where you cannot fully celebrate yourself
  • To build men’s culture where we are able to drop our walls and avoidance of each other
  • To practice giving and receiving platonic touch with other men

This is a space that will allow for optional nudity. You are welcome to go through the whole night completely clothed, if you choose. You choose your level of participation with touch exercises.

We are holding this with delight after our first Men’s Body Temple. I want to share one moment I’ll remember forever: In front of two very large mirrors, we naturally gathered, at first in two or three staggered lines, all looking at our collection of mostly nude male bodies. It was impossible not to feel ecstatic celebration. We moved as we were called to — some men swinging from the ceiling joists, some men crawling and watching their bodies move, some men standing side by side or back to back. I wish everyone in the world could have been there to be in our mutual delight of the male body. It was 10 minutes of joyful laughter and universal male love that I had not yet experienced in my life.

For this second Men’s Body Temple, we’re going to practice platonic male touch, with the purpose of loving and honoring the other. We will enter rituals for creating new Men’s Culture depending on the level of trust and safety we build together. One possibility: a space for us to ritually bathe each other.

About Daway & Bobby: We're metamours who have experienced that we can love each other with mutual empowerment and without competition. We occupy two physical body poles — Daway is 5'5" and Bobby is 6'6". We're holding this event because we believe in a world where men can love their bodies, be present with themselves, build emotional connection with other men, and inhabit their sensuality. We hold a deep trust in the power of group and the wisdom of the body.

Daway (www.dawaychouren.com) is the main spaceholder of Rage Club SF. He cares about empowering people to live out their dreams and put their voice into the world.

Bobby is a transformational ritualist. He is part of the team holding the 6-week Highden Temple training "The Eros of Beauty."
