Event Description

The collaborative skill and practice of negotiation is a foundational and essential component of a BDSM or kink scene or dynamic, and the more time you spend with the topic, the more subtleties begin to reveal themselves. In this webinar, we’ll review the basics while also going further, discussing: how to approach consent even before consent protocols are in place, how to negotiate our very negotiation practices, and how to navigate complex and sometimes non-obvious power dynamics in play before, during, and after our negotiation processes. Whether you're new to BDSM or quite seasoned, you'll walk away with enriched concepts and tools for skillful communication and negotiation.

Ley David Elliette Cray, PhD (she/they) is an author, activist, coach, consultant, and educator specializing in gender, sexuality, relationship diversity, and neurodiversity. She is the founder of Transentience Coaching and currently serves as GSRD Content Specialist for the Sexual Health Alliance, where she also co-facilitates the Kink-Informed Certification Program with Midori.
