It’s that time again! Come join us for a queer & ENM magic meet up! We’re here for cozy MtG vibes, community, and great coffee ☕️

For our special Pride edition, we’ll be starting the event a little bit later to give the set-up team ample time to decorate and MAXIMIZE the space!

We’re going to be offering a card decorating station filled with stickers, gems, shiny sleeves and more to bling out your decks 🤩🌈✨

We’ll also be doing another FREE raffle featuring Pride themed Prizes. 🏳️‍🌈

What is Mugs & Magic?

We bring you a special, curated event for fellow queer, ENM, or alternative lifestyle folks to play Magic the Gathering. We welcome all walks of queer life and all experience levels of Magic! Whether you’re curious, an ally, or a total pro, we hope you’ll join us!

Where?

Subterranean Coffee is a dive cafe, bar, and roaster that is graciously hosting us for a private after hours event to play magic. Please support the business by purchasing food and drinks. No outside food allowed in support of the business ❤️ Subterranean serves coffee, tea, sandwiches, beer, wine and more. Limited onsite parking (3-5 spots in back) as well as parking lots nearby.

Table top space accommodates around ~50. We bring extra tables and lighting to try to maximize as much play space as possible. So far everyone of our events has hit capacity!

Any play formats are welcome, but we especially love Commander. Bring your own deck or try out a pre-con! We also have a volunteer to teach the game!

We ask that you treat the venue and those around you with respect. This event is about fun and building community over shared common interests.

Timeline:

7:00-7:30: Check in & Socialize

7:30 - 11:30: Open Play (sling your last spells around 11:20!)

11:30-12:00: Clean Up & Breakdown

This is a 21+ event. We're aiming to create a fun, learning-friendly environment where folks can hang out, play some Magic, and make new friends. To help foster a welcoming vibe, we've set the following ground rules:

1. Be kind and respectful toward other people.

2. No outside food/drink allowed inside the venue.

3. No vaping/smoking inside the venue.

4. Please don't touch other people or their stuff (including their cards!) without asking.

5. Please don't take pictures of other attendees without their permission.

6. Please keep an eye on your stuff. Don't leave your cards or personal items unattended. The event organizers and venue are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
