Non-Monogamy as Nervous System Work

This workshop offers a new framework for compassionate understanding of the challenges, stressors, and possibilities within the complex relating of non-monogamy.

Rather than focusing on ideology or “doing non-monogamy right,” this workshop centers what is actually happening in the body, in attachment patterns, and in relational systems over time. Together, we will explore how nervous system capacity, regulation, values, and relational pressure shape our experiences of intimacy, jealousy, conflict, security, grief, and connection.

Using a framework grounded in nervous system awareness, relational capacity, and values under pressure, this workshop helps participants move beyond ideas about what they “should” be able to handle and toward a more honest understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Whether you are newly exploring non-monogamy or have been practicing for many years, this workshop is designed to help you better understand your relational patterns, clarify your limits and values, and build a more realistic map for navigating complex relationships.

Participants will leave with:

• A practical framework for understanding non-monogamy and relational stress

• Exploration of key components of sustainable non-monogamy

• Greater clarity around how capacity, regulation, and values under pressure impact relational experiences

• The opportunity to learn from others navigating similar relationship questions

This is a psychoeducational workshop and community learning space. It is not group therapy, therapy, or a substitute for mental health treatment.
