ONLINE: Teaching From the Bottom: Skill Building for New And Practiced Demo Bottoms

The bottom’s perspective is critical to kink. By the end of this class, you can confidently share your passion with others. Your expertise could unlock a new perspective for someone in your community.

This class will address key considerations before your first (or fourteenth!) demo bottoming session, including:

• Types of demo bottoming,
• How to decide whether demo bottoming is right for you,
• How to negotiate and prepare for your session,
• When to incorporate your perspective,
• Strategies to make the demonstration as effective as possible, and
• Special considerations for cleanup and aftercare.

This class works best if you have experience bottoming outside of a demo environment for the topic(s) you would like to demonstrate and have attended at least a few kink demos or performances by other people. It’s designed to work for you even if you don’t have experience. If you have demo-bottomed before, it can help you continue to grow in that role.

Bring your favorite note-taking tools, and expect to leave with some prep notes you’ve written yourself!

PRESENTER:

Gwyndolyn (they/them) is a former performer and practicing kinkster of over a decade who finds fulfillment in many kink roles. They have taught classes on a variety of kink and mundane topics, including rope safety for models and lighting for fetish photography. However, their favorite role is helping with somebody else’s class as a demo bottom! They’ve bottomed for hundreds of demos of wax play, flogging, rope, whipping, and more.
