Polyamory & Parenthood: Navigating Non-Monogamy as Parents of Young Children

WORKSHOP INFO:

In this workshop The Daylovers will take you through their "traffic light" analogy, which honestly and vulnerably discusses the ways that polyamory and parenthood enhance each other, challenge each other, and sometimes make each other almost unbearable and impossible.

Depending on the desires of the audience, also on the table will be discussions about pregnancy, hierarchy, couple's privilege, mononormativity, and more.

Attendees will walk away with a copy of their 13 question workbook, which helps individuals and couples considering this intersectional path dive deeper into the nuances of what they want and how to negotiate it.

This workshop speaks to the newly polyamorous, the poly-curious, as well as the experienced.

So many people assume it's impossible to be polyamorous parents. It's not, but it does require laying all the cards out on the table, and having many reliable shepherds up the mountain (warning: mixing metaphors will happen a lot in a Remodeled Love workshop).

100% of the proceeds from this workshop will go toward The Daylovers in support of their fundraiser to fight for medical help for their autistic toddler with sleep apnea, who has been completely failed by the medical system.

ABOUT JESSICA AND JOE DAYLOVER (REMODELED LOVE)

Jessica and Joe Daylover, most well known for their online platform Remodeled Love, are educators, authors, and storytellers. They have been together since 2009, married since 2013, and officially polyamorous since just before their wedding. Their children are 6, and 3, and they were polyamorous throughout both pregnancies and since their births. Joe was an English lecturer at the local University for 13 years before leaving to care for their 2 young children full time. Jessica is a live event and digital media producer and entertainer. They now live in a nested polycule with 2 of their partners who all work together to raise their kids. Their journey into polyamory was rocky because they had no mentors, no cultural script, and no support. They launched Remodeled Love as a way to change that path for others.
