Position Training for Protocol and D/s Dynamics with Ivy Limieux

VoxBody's own IvyLimieux presents this hands-on class exploring position training!

Positions go beyond simply body placement; they are an integral part of non-verbal communication between partners. In many BDSM dynamics, positions can express attention, respect, readiness, devotion, vulnerability, confidence, or intention without a single word being spoken.

This class will explore a variety of submissive positions and the purposes they can serve within power exchange relationships and scenes. Participants will learn the physical mechanics of several positions, discuss the meanings and expectations that may be attached to them, and explore methods of communication between partners to achieve them in ways that best fit each individual person. We will also discuss how elements of movement, stillness, eye contact, and presentation can enhance the mindset between partners and their desired level of power exchange.

Class will include:

* Common kneeling, standing, and floor positions with (optional) rope additions to some positions.

* Physical comfort and body diversity considerations, adapting positions for different bodies, abilities, and dynamics

* Using positions as tools for intentional power exchange and discussion on "Dominant and submissive" mindsets

* Individual positions as well as an example of a multiple position "flow"

No prior experience is required! This class is appropriate for beginners who are curious about protocol as well as experienced practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of position training. Participation in demonstrations is optional, and modifications will be offered to support a wide range of bodies and mobility levels.

Option to bring 2 hanks of rope for added fun, but not necessary. Please come dressed comfortably for movement. VoxBody has loaner rope for attendees.

Tickets are sold per person. This class will include interactive discussions and exercises for attendees. You are welcome to attend with a partner or friend (in this case be sure to register for two tickets) or solo. All activities are optional and anyone can journal solo or observe the exercises if they prefer. Solo attendees can also try pairing up with other attendees if you both choose to. Please attend this event with reasonable expectations that you may or may not pair up with someone for class. VoxBody and the presenter make no guarantee of attendee match-ups. This can be an intimate topic and all attendees are encouraged to participate to the extent of their comfort. Always honor someone's 'no' with a 'thank you'.
