A Novel Advisory Approach to Horary in Non-Monogamous and Queer Relationships
This talk explores how to adapt the ancient art of horary astrology for the complexities of modern queer and non-monogamous relationships. We’ll move beyond rigid binaries and historical biases embedded in traditional texts.
Learn how to reinterpret the houses to reflect diverse relationship structures, assigning the11th house to metamours, the 6th to submissives, and the 8th to dominants in a consensual context. We’ll also discuss moving past fixed gender signifiers like the Sun and Venus, allowing for a more inclusive, client-centered approach. This method uses horary’s precise, question-based framework to provide clear, affirming guidance for navigating the unique dynamics of polyamory and kink.
Ryan Hunt is an astrologer and guide with expertise in Hellenistic and Evolutionary astrology. His journey began with a mystical lunar eclipse in 1983, igniting a lifelong passion for celestial wisdom. He has completed extensive training with Nightlight, Rasa Lila, Kepler, Astrology University and NORWAC including horary, traditional divination and astro-cartography practices, while integrating influences from Jungian and Chiron-focused perspectives. Ryan is also a member of SFAS, NCGR, and ISAR, contributing to the advancement of astrological education. His work bridges astrology with studies in Vajrayana Buddhism, plant medicine, and myth, fostering a holistic approach to healing and self-discovery. Committed to inclusivity, Ryan creates supportive spaces for LGBTQIA+, polyamorous communities, and those engaged in psychedelic therapy, using astrology as a transformative tool for empowerment and growth.
