Discussion and Authentic Connection Salon

humhum is partnering with Author and Dating Coach, Dr. Marie Thouin and founder of the Bonobo Network, William Winters to bring you a Discussion and Connection Salon that explores and provides the opportunity for the practice of authentic connection, with romantic possibility. We'll also be celebrating the launch of Marie's book, What Is Compersion?: Understanding Positive Empathy in Consensually Non-Monogamous Relationships.

What to expect

Discussion and Q+A with Dr. Marie Thouin, Bonobos founder, William Winters, and humhum founder, Alexandra Ballensweig

​Connection breakout rounds facilitated by humhum with guided prompts, to practice active listening, and mindfulness while meeting new humans.

Price: $30 early-bird / $35 at the door

Schedule & Late Policy: Doors open at 7:00pm and close at 7:15pm. Please arrive on time as we will not let people in late once we begin to uphold the container.

About your hosts

William Winters

William is the founder and co-organizer of Bonobo Network. William is a San Francisco Sex Information-trained sex educator, a Somatica Institute-trained sex and relationship coach, and a voracious student of sexuality and relating. He also serves as a member of the Organization for Polyamory and Ethical Non-Monogamy (OPEN)’s board of directors. William’s perspectives on nonmonogamy have appeared in San Francisco Magazine, KQED's Forum, the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Times, and podcasts including Multiamory and Normalizing Non-Monogamy. He has facilitated conversations about polyamory and sexuality in settings including university campuses, political conferences, living rooms, festivals, Burning Man, and beyond.

Dr. Marie Thouin

​​Dr. Marie Thouin (she/her) is the founder of Love Insight Dating, a mindful dating coaching practice where she supports growth-minded people of all ages, genders, orientations, and relationship styles to create soulful relationships. She holds a PhD in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where her research focused on intentional intimate relationships and consensual non-monogamy.⁠ @love_insight_dating.

Alexandra Ballensweig

​​Alexandra Ballensweig is the founder and CEO of humhum, a community-first, intentional dating platform that fosters authentic connection, personal-growth, and wellbeing. After 10+ years as a facilitator; first in design thinking and innovation at BCG Digital Ventures, then consulting with startups in product and design, and as a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, humhum emerged at the intersection of Alexandra's love for experience design, human connection, and transformational experiences that foster well-being.
