Rope Bottoms Corner: Take Me There (Bottom-Led Rope Scenes) with Anais

VoxBody is pleased to host another Rope Bottoms Corner on November 22, our last iteration of this event for 2026!

Bottoms, riggers, switches and self-tiers, join us for these quarterly rope bottoming-focused events!

Each event will begin with a speaker-led topic by one of our amazing local rope bottoms. Topics will vary with each event and will be announced ahead of time. The second half of the event will be facilitated open discussion.

Anyone interested is welcome to attend, no experience necessary. Please keep in mind this is bottoms-centered content, and discussions will aim to explore rope from the perspective of the rope bottom.

We welcome Anais on NOV 22 for Take Me There (Bottom-Led Rope Scenes):

This presentation is a reflection on the spectrum of collaboration that exists in negotiating rope scenes. On one end, of course with a top you trust and who understands your desires, you might hand over control, and on the other end, you might have times where you ask for exactly what you want that day. Somewhere in the middle there is an opportunity to offer our tops ideas, feelings and intentions, and let them take us to a place that isn’t entirely prescribed but still communicated and craved for.

The second half of the event will be a facilitated open discussion; this is your chance to share your burning bottoming questions for group discussion!

Doors open at 11:45am // 12pm event start time // 12:15pm doors locked & no late entry

approx 12-1pm - workshop led by Anais

approx 1-2pm - facilitated round table discussion

2-2:30pm - time to linger and carry on the conversation at your own pace!

A few notes about this event:

• no rope or gear necessary for class.
• tickets are per individual. It is not necessary to attend with a partner; however we do encourage riggers to attend classes and events focused on rope bottoming!
• tea, water and light snacks will be provided. There are cushions and pillows for sitting on the floors, and chairs available. If you don't see what you need to sit comfortably for this event, please ask a VoxBody liaison!

About the presenter:

Anais (she/her) is a queer, bottom-leaning switch who centers collaboration and hot nonsense in her play. Her rope interests include pain as a hotline to be in touch with her body, witnessing someone and being witnessed from both ends of the rope and finding ways for others to feel at home in rope community. She thinks of herself as your softball team’s Team Mom who is also somehow a Lizard. She co-hosts the Wrapt Rope Jam in SF and can be found online @IguanaBonds.
