Rope Lab is a hands-on community workshop space focused on rope care, conditioning, maintenance, and learning more about the materials we use in rope practice.
This is not a formal rope class or structured tying workshop. Instead, Rope Lab is designed as an open learning environment where attendees can explore different rope types, ask questions, learn conditioning techniques, and gain practical hands-on experience caring for their own rope kits.
Whether you are brand new to rope or have been tying for years, Rope Lab is a great opportunity to better understand your equipment, extend the life of your rope, and experiment with different preparation and conditioning methods in a supportive community setting.
During Rope Lab, attendees may: • Learn about different rope materials and characteristics • Explore rope care and maintenance techniques • Condition and prepare their own rope kits • Ask questions about rope handling and storage • Try different methods and products used in rope processing • Connect with other members of the rope community
Our studio also offers rope at a community-friendly rate of $15 per hank, making this a great opportunity for newer practitioners to start building their own kit or for experienced rope nerds to refresh and expand their collection. Some conditioning supplies and tools may be available for community use during the event, though attendees are welcome to bring their own materials as well.
Rope Lab is rooted in shared learning, experimentation, accessibility, and community support.
Come get your hands on some rope, learn something new.
