Rope Bottoming 101

We talk about all about rigger skills all the time … What about rope bottom skills?

In this lecture, Littleluv_ (she/they) and Mooooo (any) will share our experiences and perspectives as two rope switches. Together, we'll explore what makes an engaged & empowered rope bottom, including topics like vetting rigger(s), risk management, body awareness, communication, and how the rope bottom’s energy are also essential to shaping a rope scene!

The lecture will be followed by an open Q&A session.

About @Mooooo

Mooooo (any pronouns) is a rope switch that’s drawn to the balance between care and discomfort, playfulness and surrender. Rope is an intimate form of communication for her: A way to explore and reveal each other through tension, vulnerability, and trust. She has been teaching Shibari workshops and hosting rope jams for 3+ years through Nocturnal Events, creating spaces & experience centered around connection, curiosity, creativity, and shared exploration.

About@littleluv_

Amaris (she/they) is a non-binary rope switch who has been practicing Shibari for four years. They are based out of South Bay and heavily involved in the kink community. Their love of kinbaku is fueled by the seductive and addictive qualities of semenawa, and their technical focus, on both sides of the slash, is centered around somatics, surrender, and physical challenges. Photography is also a significant part of their practice. Capturing beautiful shapes, expressions, and emotions feeds their inner perv and is one of their favorite ways to enrich their rope relationships.
