With gratitude to sponsor Noah Youngs, VoxBody is pleased to announce this beginners class with Marie Sauvage (France) and glory moonfire (Bay Area).
Sensual Shibari: Communication, Intention & Emotional Intelligence Through Rope
Join us December 9 for a three-hour partnered class exploring how verbal and non-verbal communication can create a beautiful connection through rope.
The class starts by setting intentions with your partner and practicing clear consent: how to ask, offer, decline, and adjust; how to name boundaries and desires; and how to talk about meaning, sexual health, and aftercare.
Through guided exercises, partners will explore verbal negotiation, then turn to nonverbal communication—presence, touch, breath, body positioning, and attentive observation.
After establishing consent and intention, we will explore foundational rope techniques, including the single-column tie as a foundation that builds upon more complex patterns. We will practice some body transitions to keep the flow of the scene unfolding.
The class closes with a mindful untying/practice, and space to reflect on what surfaced with a Q + A.
* No experience necessary!
* Materials needed: 2-3 lengths of rope. VoxBody has loaner rope for attendees to use during class.
* Tickets are offered for tying pairs; sign up with a friend or beloved!
* If finances are a barrier for your attendance, please email us at voxbody@gmail.com; we have limited scholarship observer spots for this class!
