PREREQUISITES FOR ALL ATTENDEES

Both people will need to know how to do a 1-column tie and a 2-column tie of any variety. You don’t have to be perfect.

WHAT TO BRING:

ROPE (Per Pair)

There isn’t an absolute number or length of ropes to bring. This is because of several factors. Several of the exercises will require the attendees to make creative individual decisions, so each person will use a different number of ropes. Variation in the receiver’s body size and desired tension will affect the length and quantity of rope required

This is a basic suggestion for the minimum amount to bring. Bring more if you can.

30’ rope, 2 to 3 hanks

15’ rope, 3 to 5 hanks

ABOUT TWISTED MONK

Monk and Midori have been collaborating and creating educational works together for nearly 25 years. Their partnership began in 2004 when Monk, a former Eagle Scout and fledgling kinkster, was gifted a copy of Midori's groundbreaking book, "The Seductive Art of Japanese Rope Bondage". Using a recipe found in that very book, Monk produced the first batch of what is now world-famous Twisted Monk hemp rope in his own backyard. Today, Twisted Monk is recognized as a world leader in hemp bondage rope, renowned for its quality, craftsmanship, and unwavering dedication to customer safety.

The story extends far beyond the rope itself. Since attending his first Rope Dojo in 2005, Monk has evolved from a dedicated student to a primary rope supplier and eventually a teaching assistant. Their professional synergy has resulted in the creation of viral educational videos and numerous appearances at classes and conventions. Monk is now proud to sponsor his long-time friend and mentor for this unique, intimate learning experience. This intensive offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from Midori, supported by Monk, with a focus on connection, clarity, and the nuance of subtle movement that transcends basic diagrams.
