Some forms of care are soft, simple, and surprisingly powerful.
This month’s Snuggle Jam explores the soothing world of brushing, tracing, and gentle tactile sensation through platonic, consent-forward connection. Join us for an afternoon of cozy experimentation with hair brushing, body brushing, knismesis touch, and other light sensory techniques that can calm the nervous system, deepen relaxation, and create feelings of closeness and comfort.
We’ll discuss the proprioceptive and grounding benefits of repetitive touch, explore different textures and pressures, and practice ways to communicate preferences and boundaries while giving and receiving care.
Bring your favorite tools if you have them:
Other recommended items include blankets, pajamas or comfy clothes, stuffies/plushies, snacks/lunch for yourself, a water bottle, and cozy vibes.
You do not need prior experience to attend. This event is beginner-friendly, low-pressure, and focused on comfort, gentleness, and mutual care.
As always with Snuggle Jam, there will also be plenty of space to simply exist together cozily. Board games, coloring books, and chill social time will be available throughout the event. This is a platonic, consent-focused space centered around soft connection, sensory exploration, and community care.
Doors open at 11AM. Opening circle will begin at 11:30AM and doors will close at 11:45PM. Please arrive in time to drop in and set the container.
Our lab-style workshops are community-centered educational events focused on skill sharing and learning, not play parties. Guests are expected to bring their own tools, sanitize shared equipment before and after use, and respect the house manager, Dungeon Monitor, and staff. Sex of any kind, breath play or simulated breath play, restraint across the front of the neck, fire, candles, vaping, and smoking are not permitted. These events are not for cruising; please watch from a respectful distance and avoid commenting or intruding on other guest’s labbing experiences, including during aftercare. All AfterDark Events are 18+.
This event will take place at Paradox, at 1310 Mission Street in San Francisco. It is located in SoMa, near 9th and Mission, and is a 10 minute walk from the Civic Center/UN Plaza BART station.
