Suspension Bootcamp: Load Testing & Line Work

How do you know a harness is ready to hold weight? You test it systematically.

This workshop dives deep into the anatomy of a secure tie, giving riggers and bottoms the tools to evaluate harness integrity before lifting off.

What We’ll Cover:

• Progressive load-testing techniques to assess harness structure, comfort, and nerve safety

• Practical application of suspension hangers

• Smooth upline management and tension control with a human partner

Prerequisites: Bottoms are required for this workshop. Intermediate understanding of rope fundamentals, frictions, and patterns. Smooth, efficient tying of single-column ties and basic patterns preferred. (Previous workshop attendance is not required).

What to Bring: Rope and Safety Shears. Suspension gear (POSH, Climbing Slings, Carabiners, Rings, Swivels) recommended but not required. Bottoms should wear comfortable, snug-fitting clothing.

Please arrive on time, as late entry may not be permitted due to the structured nature of the material.
