Taboo Jazz

Dive deep into the sultry sounds of dirty blues by the Red Pavilion Jazz band, led by Gordon Au, as we resurrect the forbidden anthems of the early 20th century, exploring themes deemed socially scandalous and morally obscene. We will be rehabilitating contentious songs about race, and glorifying thinly veiled songs about sex, drugs and booze, with melodies so steamy, they would make a flapper flushed with fever.
