The Art of Sound

Join performing artist Judy Berberian for a playful, hands-on exploration of sound, resonance, rhythm, and musical expression.

An invitation to listen differently.

Sound is something we experience every day. But what happens when we stop simply hearing it and begin creating it?

Join performing artist Judy Berberian for a playful, hands-on exploration of sound, resonance, rhythm, and musical expression.

Surrounded by Janet Hansen's illuminated artwork, you'll discover the distinctive voices of crystal singing bowls, chimes, percussion, and other instruments. Through guided listening and creative experimentation, you'll explore how different sounds interact, overlap, and transform a space.

There is no performance pressure and no musical experience required. This workshop is about curiosity, discovery, and the simple pleasure of making sound.

What to expect

• Introduction to a selection of sound-making instruments
• Guided listening and hands-on exploration
• Playful experimentation with rhythm, resonance, and layering
