October is @QueenHershey’s Birthday Month! 🎂🧙🏾‍♀️✨ And for her special birthday Munch, we decided to do something a little different this month:

We’re joining forces with the@Queens_KinkstersMunch! ⚔️🌿

For one night, we’re bringing our two communities together at their regular stomping grounds, the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden in Astoria!

We’re already big fans of the Queens Munch, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity for our CannaFam to get out of our usual orbit, meet some new people, make some new friends, and expand those kinky social circles—all while helping us celebrate our favorite Birthday Witch! 🎃🧙🏾‍♀️🎂

🍺 Welcome to the Beer Garden!

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is a genuine piece of Astoria history. Established in 1910, it describes itself as New York City’s oldest beer garden, with Czech and Slovak food and beer traditions that have been part of the neighborhood for generations.

The venue offers a large outdoor beer garden, indoor space, plenty of beer and other drinks, and Czech and Slovak cuisine.

And did we mention the onion rings?

Because we’re saying it now: some of the best damn onion rings in the city. 😂🧅

Come hungry.

🌿 Okay, But What About the Weed?

We haven’t forgotten what the Canna in CannaMunch stands for. 😏

We’ll have opportunities to smoke outside the bar before heading in, and throughout the evening folks who want to partake can step away in small groups for a smoke before rejoining the festivities.

Depending on the October weather, we may park ourselves outside in the massive beer garden. If Mother Nature decides it’s an indoor kind of night, you’ll most likely find our crew inside near the pool table, with smoke breaks outside as needed.

As always, be respectful of the venue, its staff, the Queens Munch, and the other folks sharing the space with us. Good guests get invited back! 💚

⚔️ Why “Joint Forces?”

Because that’s exactly what we’re doing!

This isn’t just about changing venues for a month. It’s an opportunity for two munch communities to come together, introduce ourselves, make connections, and maybe meet some folks we wouldn’t normally cross paths with.

We love our CannaFam, but every once in a while it’s good to venture outside our usual orbit. We’re big fans of the Queens Munch, and we’re excited to introduce more of our community to theirs—and hopefully welcome some new faces into ours.

Come meet somebody new. Introduce yourself to someone outside your usual circle. Have a beer. Destroy some onion rings. Smoke something good. Wish @QueenHershey and all our Birthday Libras a very Happy Birthday. 🎂♎🌿🍺

🚇 Getting There — Public Transportation

Leave the chariot at home! Bohemian Hall specifically recommends using public transportation when possible.

🚇 N / W → Astoria Blvd

This is the venue’s recommended subway stop. From Astoria Blvd, head northeast along 31st Street, turn left onto 24th Avenue, and the Beer Garden will be on your right.

🚇 N / W → Astoria–Ditmars Blvd

Also a convenient option. From Ditmars, head southwest along 31st Street, then turn right onto 24th Avenue.

🚇 N / W → 30th Avenue

If your train situation makes 30th Avenue easier, it’s another walkable option; the venue also provides walking directions from this station.

🚌 Coming by bus?

The Q19 runs along the Astoria Boulevard corridor and connects with the N/W at Astoria Blvd, giving folks traveling across Queens another option.

As always, check the MTA before leaving home for any Thursday-night service changes.
