Trickster at the Crossroads: Myth and Mischief in Kinky Roleplay

What might your desires reveal when you invite the sacred troublemaker into your kink practice?

Across mythology, Tricksters steal from the powerful, cross forbidden boundaries, change shape, speak dangerous truths, and lure others into bargains whose meanings are never quite what they seem.

They disrupt the ordinary world—and create openings for transformation, freedom, pleasure, and possibility.

In this two-hour interactive workshop, we will explore how Trickster archetypes can inspire kink, erotic storytelling, and roleplay.

Through mythology, guided reflection, and collaborative scene-building, participants will discover their own styles of erotic mischief and experiment with tools such as temptation, riddles, wagers, shapeshifting, secret identities, playful rule-breaking, power reversals, and negotiated surprise.

We will also examine the ethics of Trickster play. How can we create the feeling of unpredictability without compromising informed consent? What is the difference between a fictional betrayal and a real one? How do we negotiate games in which characters lie, rules appear to change, or power is not where it first seems to be? Participants will learn how to create a clear container for improvisation so that the story may be chaotic while the players remain cared for.

Come prepared to meet the thief, tempter, fool, shapeshifter, riddler, or beautiful saboteur within you. You will leave with a personalized Trickster archetype, a framework for negotiating consensual mischief, and the beginnings of an original roleplay or kink scene.

No prior kink, mythology, or roleplaying experience is required.

Lila Hades (she/they) is a queer, neurodivergent word witch & author; trauma-informed conflict resolution practitioner; BDSM & kink educator; and astrologer who founded The Unconventional Plutonian (also known as UP).
