BIO; Sir Brian is a covered leather man who has been active within the San Diego community for 25 plus years. He is a contributing member of several local clubs, leader of the San Diego DS Discussion Group (SDDs) and is a founding member of the Southern California Power Exchange. Over the years he has overseen the set up of dungeons for several clubs in the local area. He has often presented often both locally and at regional conferences on his passions, whips and canes. While Sir Brian often chooses to be active behind the scenes in the community, he feels an obligation and has a love for passing on his knowledge as part of his leather path while continuing to pursue the light within.
CLASS DESCRIPTION; I believe that practice is the only way to learn to throw whips successfully. And how you do that practice is important. I want to pass along the training techniques and style that I was shown over the years by other whip throwers. At the front end of the presentation I will do a short whip scene at to model my style and continue by discussing construction, types, and care of whips, as well as some techniques to practice throwing whips. I demonstrate several / most styles of throwing whips, and will spend time to help attendees find a style that suits them and improve their throwing.
