Women's Retreat: The Listening Body β€” Somatic Healing & Body Intelligence

A somatic women's retreat at Harbin Hot Springs β€” body intelligence, sound healing, sacred waters & ritual for the Fall Equinox.

Your body has been speaking.

In sensation, in tension, in the places you've gone numb or tight or restless. In the emotion that surfaces without warning. In the longing you can't quite name. In the wisdom that lives beneath the noise of daily life.

The Listening Body is an invitation to finally get quiet enough to hear it.

Join us at Harbin Hot Springs for a 3-day intimate women's retreat rooted in somatic healing, body intelligence, and the sacred wisdom of water. Through movement, breathwork, voice, sound, ritual, expressive arts, and the healing geothermal pools of Harbin, we will drop out of the mind and into the body's deep knowing.

This is not a retreat about fixing, releasing, or optimizing. It is about listening β€” to what your body has been holding, what it's trying to show you, and what becomes possible when you trust its intelligence.

πŸ—“ RETREAT FLOW

Friday, September 18th : You are welcome to arrive at Harbin earlier in the day to settle in and soak before we gather. Opening circle begins at 7:00 PM β€” prayer, intention setting, chakra toning, and an intimate group sound healing to close the evening and settle you into the land. The rest of the evening is yours to soak, rest, and arrive into the weekend.

Saturday, September 19th : A slow morning with breakfast and free time in the pools. The day moves through land ceremony, sacred water rituals, somatic practice, and expressive arts β€” with generous pockets of unstructured time to soak, rest, and integrate. The evening closes with a deep guided somatic journey into the body's intelligence.

Sunday, September 20th : A gentle morning for rest, pools, and quiet integration. Closing circle and ceremony. Public sound healing at 1:30 PM open to all Harbin guests β€” retreat women welcome to attend before departing.

A detailed schedule will be shared with registered attendees.

About Your Facilitator:

Virpal Kaur is a traditional Reiki Master from the Usui lineage and a life-long seeker of truth deeply rooted in the Sikh tradition.

She is also an intuitive guide, sound practitioner, and sacred spaceholder who weaves together energy healing, ancestral wisdom, mantra, and earth-based practices to support transformation and remembrance.

Through her practice, Rising Lotus Reiki, Virpal empowers individuals on their healing journey back home to themselves β€” helping them reclaim their voice, embody authenticity, and realign with personal sovereignty and truth. Her work includes 1:1 Reiki sessions (in-person and remote), Reiki trainings, Women’s Circles, Reiki Sound Healings, Medicine Ceremonies, retreats, and workshops.

She integrates the teachings of her ancestors and lineage with modern energy and sound healing modalities, guiding others to connect with their inner voice, awaken ancestral memory, and align with soul purpose. With a heartfelt devotion to community, she is also reconnecting with her harmonium and the sacred devotional practice of Kirtan β€” honoring her roots while bridging across cultures through healing sound.

Virpal is passionate about supporting women in reclaiming their truth, reconnecting with their wombs, and shedding the layers of ancestral trauma, internalized stories, and unprocessed grief that often live in the body. She honors the womb and voice as powerful creative centers β€” not only as gateways of life, but as sacred vessels for healing, transformation, and remembrance.

Her facilitation is informed by her somatic integration training, and Harbin Hot Springs has been a personal sanctuary for her for years β€” the place she returned to through some of the deepest seasons of her own life. Last year she brought a circle of women there for Return to the Waters, a retreat for grief and reclamation. This September she brings women back for something that goes even deeper.

πŸ’— A Note from Virpal:

"I created this retreat because I know what it feels like to be disconnected from your own body β€” to have worked so hard on healing, and yet still sense that something is asking to be heard. Harbin has held me through some of the deepest seasons of my life, and I wanted to create a space where women could experience that same holding β€” and learn to trust the intelligence that lives within them. Whether you're coming solo or with a friend, you will be welcomed into a circle of sacred sisterhood. May the waters hold you. May your body speak. May you finally hear it."
