A party designed for newbies, we've been serving the community since 2016!

I meet people that are new to the scene all the time. A very common question is, “what party is good for a newbie to start with?” Well – here’s my answer – CLUB AWAKENING!

This is the party for you if you are new to the scene (1-2 years or less) OR are bringing someone new. Don't worry - even if you aren't new, this party is open to ALL! It will feature more seasoned volunteers to run a handful of various tasting booths, including hands-on play, crops and canes, paddles, floggers, and rope (and a special surprise booth!) Our Volunteer Assistants are there to not only welcome everyone, but also answer questions, help you through the process of negotiation for a scene, and/or simply point you in the right direction. In addition, there will be experienced practice bottoms in case you want to try something new from the Top side!

PARKING & DIRECTIONS

If you are coming from the 110 please be aware there are TWO Athens Way streets - DO NOT TURN ON THE FIRST ATHENS - TURN ON THE 2ND ATHENS JUST PAST THE TRAIN TRACK.

Parking is street parking and much like the old venue, the earlier you arrive the easier it will be to find a spot! The opposite side of Athens is no parking, however, most other white curbs up and down the surrounding streets are ok to park on.

ADA INFO: If you are not able to use stairs, please contact Sanctuary and let them know you will need to be let in through the back patio gate. Someone will open the gate and be available to help you if needed. It is wheelchair accessible. Sanctuary does have a plan to have a ramp installed in the front, it's just a matter of time and resources.

There are many RVs parked near and around the area. Note: Sanctuary has made friends with many of the surrounding businesses as well as the people who reside in the RVs just outside of the venue. (They have been very friendly!)

**If possible it's a great idea to carpool or uber there as well!

If you would like to be escorted to your car when you're leaving, please let the front desk know and Garland (assistant manager) will walk you to your car or they will find someone who can!

POTLUCK = DRAWING TICKETS

Guests who bring a potluck dish to share will receive FIVE TICKETS for the Drawing! It is preferred that the potluck item you bring be store bought and unopened AND/OR individually packaged, however, homemade items are allowed.

PRE-PLAY ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pre-play party announcements will happen at 9:30pm so we can open up the rooms and get to playing! :)

DRAWING BABY!!!

Looking for a way to add a unique toy to your collection? Get your FIRST TICKET FREE by arriving before 9:30pm. The drawing will happen at midnight – so don’t miss out!!

COAT AND BAG CHECK: For just $3 CASH you can check your coat AND your TOY BAG! A safe place to store your stuff until you’re ready to play!!

**You can also pre-pay for coat/bag check when you buy your ticket! Check ticket page for the coat check ticket!**

NAME TAG/IDENTIFIER STICKERS: We have a unique sticker system to use as a name /pronouns tag and color coded to indicate if you're open to play and who you're open to play with, as well as top/bottom/switch!

PICTURE BOOTH: As soon as announcements are done the “picture booth” will open until 11pm. A volunteer will take your picture using YOUR CELL PHONE ONLY. Take this opportunity to get a pic in a dungeon before you go play!

VENDORS: Excited to announce we will have a wonderful vendor at this party! This is a great way to start or add to your toy bag! Vendor: Kinky Peach! Payment types accepted: PayPal, Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, CC and cash!

To maintain safety and encourage Safe, Sane & Consensual (SSC) play there will be no alcohol or drugs allowed and no edge play (unless it is a booth taster).

Also – this is not a members-only event: therefore, no sexual acts or fluid exchange including genital/genital or oral/genital sex as well as no penetration. WITH OR WITHOUT PROTECTION (There are plenty of other parties you can attend for that.) However, you can GET NEKKED! :-D

Water is provided. Food/snacks will also be provided as well as any potluck items that people want to bring to share! NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED. Sanctuary will also be selling soda & energy drinks. Remember – if you bring food to share you will get 5 free drawing tickets at the door! This should be something you grab at the market that is unopened– munchies are always appreciated no matter what!

Schedule of events:

9-9:35pm: Social hour – time to nibble, socialize, and check out the vendors!

9:35pm: Jenn will gather everyone to explain the rules, basic party protocol, negotiation reminders and introduce the volunteers10pm(ish): Newbie Orientation! and PARTY BEGINS!

10pm (or as soon as announcements are done) until 2am: Booths will open and the play party begins!

Picture booth will open until 11pm!

2am: We say goodnight - you don't gotta go home but you can 't stay here. ;)
