If you've ever taken a rope class and felt confused, frustrated, and "bad at rope" because you were struggling to memorize patterns then this class is for you! 💗✨
In this class we'll explore some basic rope handling, partner connection, body manipulation, and other elements of play that will allow you to have fun scenes without the stress of memorization and doing things exactly right.
Rope is for everyone and if there's one thing I've learned as a rope switch (someone who ties and gets tied) it's that perfect technique does not make you good at rope. In fact, striving for perfection often dampens your confidence, creates disconnection with your partner, and generally makes scenes less enjoyable.
I always get so sad when I hear people say that they've always been interested in rope, but they tried a rope class and felt too confused by the knots/patterns and gave up. Your ability to memorize patterns should not be a barrier to rope play 🫶
As long as you're being safe with your body and your partner's body, then the rest is whatever you want it to be! And personally, I really delight in the playful and unexpected nature of improvisation✨
