Feel The Fit: Harness Assessment for Everyone

"This is a super sustainable harness, trust me!"

Riggers often mean well, but what counts as “sustainable” varies widely depending on body, context, and goals. This workshop is designed to give you the tools to evaluate harnesses from the inside, even if you don’t tie.

We’ll cover how load, tension, and structure interact with real bodies, how to notice red flags early, and how to ask better questions before you’re in the air. Expect a little physics, a little body mechanics, and a lot of support for being your own best advocate.

You'll Learn:

  • What “sustainable” actually means (and what it doesn’t)
  • How to visually and physically assess a harness
  • Common failure points and warning signs
  • Language you can use to ask for adjustments and provide feedback
  • How to opt out without apologizing for self-advocacy

Bottoms Up is a series of classes taught from the bottom's perspective. While they center skills for being in rope, the content applies to all rope nerds, regardless of their role(s).
