Rope Laboratory:

This gathering is for folks who really want to get together and PRACTICE rope. Talk through new concepts, pick each others brains, crack open your books, put your videos on your laptops, swap ideas, and practice together. NOT a JAM or for having a scene.

All levels welcome

NOTE: This is NOT a class. We will not be teaching. This is self led

Kinky Crafting: (HANGOUT: Or just hang out and watch a movie and socialize)

Where imagination meets perversion and creativity gets tied up in the best ways. Bring your half-finished projects, your wild ideas, and your favorite tools. Share tips, trade tricks, and craft your next favorite toy among like-minded makers who understand that sometimes the most satisfying creations come with a little sting. Actually budget the time to get them out of your drawers and cupboards and finish them!

• Snacks, waters, sodas, coffee are included.
• Plus we have a giant art studio so we can spread out on the floor. We will have a few tables available.
• Bring your own supplies. If you are planning on working with wet items, or things that shed everywhere please bring a drop cloth.

• Bring your rope, your projects, your curiosity, and your experience — and let’s learn from each other in a relaxed, collaborative space. Where curious and adventurous community members can share knowledge, expand their repertory and build connections in the rope scene. All people and all bodies welcome.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bring your stuff.
• Partial nudity allowed for rope purposes.
• If you are dong suspensions on yourself you must have passed the ISHI Rock test.

Available:

• We will have 6 x 10' long bamboo beams for the class, and 2 rings. On each beam we can have 2 people.
• For more difficult suspensions you will trade off with one safety person watching and 1 person suspending.
• Water bottles, coffee, tea, and some snacks will be offered free of charge
• We have many soft mats, and a limited number of tatami mats.
• Emergency supplies will be on site in the form of safety shears and a first aid kit.
• Photography will only be allowed for reference. When taking photos please always make sure no one else is in the frame. Do not take pictures of the instructors or other guests.
• Be respectful towards other guests

Location: 1219 Cherry Ave. Long Beach, Ca.... Ancient Vine Studio is a working art studio so it will provide a unique setting for the events. We are located down the alley between the buildings.

PARKING: Do NOT park in any of the parking lots. They will TOW! If you park in a 2 hour zone please set your alarm so you can double check your car. Do not leave anything visible in your car.
