Queer Social Hike at Griffith Park

Griffith Park hike for those that identify as queer as well as allies.

Sex Positive Los Angeles invites you to join us for a welcoming, community-centered hike at the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round. For more information and updates about the event, we recommend you sign up on our website.

This is a beautiful opportunity to connect with others, enjoy nature, and learn more about our organization in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. You’ll have a chance to meet and walk alongside a couple of our leaders while learning about what we do, what we value, and how you can get involved.

🌈 What to Expect

We’ll be walking approximately 2 miles through the scenic trails of Griffith Park. The route includes some steep hills, stairs, and uneven terrain, but we’ll move at a pace that works for the group so everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Expect a warm, inclusive environment with queer folks, allies, friends, and even furry companions welcome to join. This is a great introductory space if you’re new and curious about our community.

⏰ Timeline

• Arrival: Please arrive on time so we can begin together
• Start Time: 10:00 AM (arrival) and we willl promptly leave at 10:30 AM for the hike
• End Time: Around 12:00 PM

📍 Location & Parking

We’ll meet directly in front of the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round.

For parking, simply search “Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round” on Google Maps or Apple Maps and park in the surrounding area. We’ll gather at the nearest picnic table.

🎒 What to Bring

Please come prepared and take care of yourself during the hike:

• Comfortable hiking shoes or boots
• Active clothing
• Hat & sunscreen (highly recommended)
• Bug spray
• Plenty of water (there is typically a water station midway, but don’t rely solely on it)
