Sensual Bondage with Devil Mask Studio @ fwb clubhouse

Purchase tickets

This class is for the people who linger. Who notice. Who care about how something feels as much as how it looks. If you’re drawn to connection, softness, and the quiet intensity of shared focus, this space is for you.

We’ll explore rope as a way to deepen connection with yourself and your partner through touch, pacing, breath, and focus. This is a practice for those who are curious about sensation, who enjoy (or want to explore) sensory play, and who are willing to show up with a little more honesty and vulnerability.

We’ll move slowly, keep things simple, and discover what unfolds when we stop rushing and start listening.

This workshop is designed for people to participate with a partner. Please come with someone, or come ready to participate with someone in class.

In this workshop, you’ll: Use rope as a tool for connection, not just structure Build awareness of your own body and your partner’s responses Explore pacing, anticipation, and the emotional texture of a scene Practice attention and attunement - responding in real time to yourself or your partner

Come as you are: curious, thoughtful, a little unsure, or already in love with sensation. This is a room for people who value kindness, communication, and being seen.

You Should Know:

No prior rope experience required. All levels welcome.

You Should Bring:

1–2 lengths of rope (or borrow ours) A partner (or come solo to deepen your self-tying practice) Comfortable clothing you can move and relax in

Nora Last (they/them) is a queer switch, cheesemonger emeritus, and the Big Boss of Devil Mask Studio. You’ll most frequently see them behind the desk, running registration from our nerve center. Nora brings over a decade of experience to the studio, having taught across North America about the intersections of rope, embodiment, neurodiversity, and kink. Their work has been strongly shaped by collaboration with a number of educators, most importantly Ojipan, GoodMostTimes, and Hedwig. Outside of the studio, Nora possesses a deep appreciation for life’s small pleasures. When not guiding transformative workshops or honing their rope skills, they indulge in the art of crafting intricate cocktails and curating exquisite cheese boards. These personal interests underscore their belief that the purpose of life is to find delight in its many forms.

Melissa (she/her) AKA goodmosttimes started her rope education, as a bottom, in late 2011. She has since been expanding her knowledge as a switch and loves to share new techniques from both sides of a tie. Fortunate to be based in Los Angeles, CA, she has happily been part of the Devil Mask Society since its inception in 2012. She is now one of the owners and lead instructors at Devil Mask Studio in Downtown Los Angeles alongside her romantic and business partners, Nora (Ordinals) and Andrew (Ojipan).

This is a low-scent event: no perfume, cologne, or essential oils. The Clubhouse is no-shoe space. When you enter, please leave your shoes on the shoe rack by the front door. If you need an exemption, please email accessibility@fwb.events.

There are paid lots, garages, and street parking within a block of the loft. We will send out additional information once your RSVP is confirmed.

SAFTEY IN DTLA

Please be mindful of your surroundings when arriving and leaving. Many of us are longtime downtown residents and have never personally had an issue walking around at night, but DTLA is full of interesting characters from all walks of life, especially on weekends. We love our community and ask that you're respectful of everyone you encounter.

COMMUNITY HEALTH & SAFETY

COVID, Cold, and Flu: We recommend all attendees test for COVID before you arrive. No need to send results - we trust you. If you are feeling sick, were recently exposed to someone who is sick, or test positive, we ask that you stay home to help us keep our community safe and healthy and we will credit you for a future event.

We provide face masks and hand sanitizer at the clubhouse. We run air purifiers during and between events. While we take all the precautions we can to be covid safe, this is ultimately an event with risk of infection. If you are higher risk of infection or adverse effects for covid or other illnesses, we encourage you to err on the side of caution.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

We do not offer refunds if you cancel or change your reservation. In some cases, we do offer event credits. Contact cancel@fwb.events if you:

  1. Need to cancel or change your reservation. Please let us know 48 hours prior to an event, and we will credit you for a future event.
  2. If you are sick, were recently exposed to someone who has covid, or tested positive. Let us know ~2 hours prior to an event start, and we will credit you for a future event.

We offer refunds if we cancel an event for any reason. We'll send out a cancellation email. Attendees who wish to receive a refund for their ticket purchase will need to respond within 7 days of the cancelled event. All other tickets will receive a credit for a future event.
